Welcome to CakeMarket — the marketplace connecting cake lovers with talented local bakers.

Who Is This For?

CakeMarket serves three types of users:

Buyers — People looking to order custom cakes for events (birthdays, weddings, corporate events, etc.), with or without an account
Sellers — Bakeries and independent bakers who fulfil cake orders, organised into organisations with admin and baker roles
Admins — Platform administrators who manage organisations, optional certificate badges, orders and platform health

Buyer creates a request — Describing the cake they want (theme, size, dietary needs, date, delivery or pickup with their location)
Sellers receive matching requests — Based on their capabilities, location/delivery range, and the buyer's pickup radius
Sellers submit offers — With pricing, proposed images, and optional messages
Buyer picks an offer — Comparing price, rating, distance and any optional admin-issued badge — and pays a deposit to create an order
Seller fulfils the order — Progressing through statuses: in progress → ready → delivered
Buyer pays the balance when the cake is ready — Online, or in cash/by card at pickup
Buyer confirms delivery — Escrow is released to the seller, and the buyer can leave a review

Smart matching — Requests are shown to sellers whose capabilities and location match
Location-aware offers — Pickup radius selection, distance shown on every offer, distance sorting
AI design previews — Buyers describe their dream cake and get generated design concepts
Secure payments — Deposits and balances handled via Stripe with escrow protection
Real-time offers & messaging — Offers stream in live; buyers and sellers can chat throughout
Review system — Buyers rate sellers after delivery, building trust
Multi-language — Full Polish and English support
PWA — Works as a mobile app with offline support
Guest ordering — Buyers can order without an account and convert later
